Welcome to the new Irish Society of Toxicology (IST) website. Please feel free to send us on any comments that you think may be helpful (see Contacts page or link to the webmaster below).

The IST is a professional organisation of scientists from academia, government and industry, representing a broad cross-section of those involved in toxicology in Ireland. The IST is committed to creating a safer and healthier environment by advancing the science of toxicology. Interesting articles and information about toxicology can be read from here and we hope to also bring you monthly articles in our own Tox Topics section.

NOW Available, the UCD Renal Disease Research Group lead by Dr. Tara McMorrow and Professor Michael Ryan has recently published an article on the identification of biomarkers of cyclosporine toxicity in the journal Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology. The full article is available HERE.
